The Sea of Rhyme
I like the rote of poems I write,
And write my verse to quote.
But to sail in the Sea of Rhyme,
One first must parse their boat.
You choose the words from an inner sea,
And seine the words of note.
They are ebbing sounds of synergy,
And that's what makes it float.
You fill your sails with wordy gales
To steer the metered line.
Then steady your ship with rhythm,
And sail the Sea of Rhyme.
