The Search

Through the blackest of nights,
Through the roughest of storms,
I searched and searched,
And yet, I could not find a light, a path to guide me,
Lost and alone, I searched.

No longer need I search,
For you, you found me.
You held my hand, and my heart,
Till the dawn broke, and the sun shone through.
You picked me up when I had fallen,
You gave me hope when all else had torn it apart.

When your sun sets and the darkest night surrounds you,
Rest assured, you will never need search.
I will hold your hand, your heart,
And guide you through to the dawn.
You will never fall, for I will hold you,
I will be your hope when it falters,
I will love you always.
