The Serpent
The serpent lives in cycles of rebirth.Surviver of all seasons, through the dust,
the trees and the cold winter air, the serpent lives.
He travels both high and lows and can shelter in
even the unthinkable. He survives barb wires, rocks
and high heat. When he sheds his skin, a renewal occurs.
A quiet process where he will not bite. The serpent is calm
and his skin is released from him. He regains consciousness,
a splash of color rolls down his body to the tip of his tail.
As he swivers off, goodbye old you!
This Poems Story
A poem of my favorite reptile, the famous Serpent. Who lives in many countries. I can relate. A true surviver of all seasons, who sheds her old self for new opportunities. The Serpent an opportunist.
