The shadow

Born, thrown out of the house
Became homeless in an instant
The shelter unbarred the gates
For this little infant.

For years passed by,
She grew with lonesome existence, miles deep
But concealed it to the outside world
She was this carefree, exuberant person for them.

Dropped herself out,
She moved from town to town
And once, met a beautiful lady
Instantly clicked, shared stories, walks, goodbye talks.

She was the stranger on the other side
A stranger who saw her growing up
A stranger who stood between dusk and dawn
A stranger who finally gathers her courage to meet her
She was her mom.
