The Shepherd

When I encountered you,
I was not sure of whom was I meeting?
A long lost lover or my best friend awaiting.

Ohh this love,
that you made me feel again,
I think it will, it is taking me away from mundane.

I could have missed it,
could have let it go,
universe was too strong, to put me in the flow.

Now I think, I get it,
what the plan enshrined,
it was the cosmic way, to get me back to my divine.

As they say quite often,
a sufi is a 16 year old girl,
getting there gradually, performing my blissful whirl.

If you don't find me here,
look for me in the mazar of Rumi,
find love enmeshed; between divine, you and me.
Not that we would ever, fathom this design.
Know that you were the shepherd,
when this lost one reached the Divine.
