The Silent Cat

The silent cat sat at the window
And never meowed
The quiet dog sat by the door
And never barked

The old man and woman sat on the porch
And never talked
The children play on the lawn
And never made any noise

The cars went by
But never blew their horns

The quiet dog
The old man and woman who never talked
The children who never made any noise
The cars that never blew their horn

While the little deaf girl looked on

This Poems Story

Poetry writing has provided countless hours of enjoyment for me. Poetry is my way of expressing my appreciation of the beauty around us; my feelings and innermost thoughts. I also express my feelings through other writing, painting and photography. I have a big collection of my writings and artwork. It has been very rewarding. Again, thank you for this opportunity to have my work published in your book.
