The Silent Killer

We sit in silence for months on end,
of this invisible killer around the bend.
prayers by many as we kneel,
tired, exhausted, worn we feel.
wanting to know the reason we’re here, to form solutions and abolish the fear.
is this pandemic sent from heaven or hell, for one day the world may tell.
the crisis at hand shows how
vulnerable we are, together apart may keep this evil afar.
As for now we are in this fight, continually hoping for a new beginning in sight.
