The Sounds of Silence

The rings are repeating,
But the answer machine is all I hear.
I call again and again;
It's like she just disappeared.

I'm waiting by the phone,
But no one calls.
It feels like I'm alone,
Just me and the phone.

It's like having a relationship with her answering machine.
I know it by heart.
I fall asleep,
Listening to the never-ending beep.

Waking up to the constant buzzing
Emptiness.
Ever since she left,
I feel anything but bliss.
