The Speed of Time

Tick tock, tick tock
Goes the clock
Sea of faces quickly passing by
Wishing they could fly

Life controlled by time
To slow down is a crime
It's hard to even find
A minute to unwind

Once in a while
You might catch a smile
In this gloomy city
It's such a pity

Kindness is a rarity
Courtesy a scarcity
Fear the majority
Security the minority

Concrete jungle
Cast by the struggle
Alarms ring morning signs of defeats
As the endless cycle repeats
