The Spirit of Darkness

The icy wind blows through the canyon
And my blood freezes in my veins
Where is the once burning heat of summer?
When it was here and left me stifled
Sweating and choking
Coughing up my iron lung.

I got all messed up about where I was for a minute.
What happened?
How did I get here?
and then I remembered.

I was searching for lost children after the storm.

The sweet release of freedom
gave me a sigh of relief.
There I was in the eastern sky.
Got high.
I became as one dead, and dropped like a stone.
From the firmament I fell
down upon the Garden of Israfel.

The children of the sun are sleeping inside the Earth.
Waiting to awaken at some indefenite time.
If I find them in time
I can destroy their life's light.
