The Spring Of Life
A rainbow hovers above the clouds,
the cool breeze rustles through the grass.
Birds chirp their songs in the evergreens,
all around, there is new life and vigor.
The deer darts into the thicket,
back to find her babies.
The fish jump in the newly defrosted lake,
and a majestic swan glides over the water.
All around, there is peace, and there is no crying.
No one disturbs the watchdog,
and the washing is done in peace.
Bears lumber from their dens, on a mission to find food.
Flowers bloom, and the trees, young and old,
put forth their leaves.
Soon summer will come, and the sun will scortch the ground.
But for now, all is well because it is spring.
