The Stars and Moon

By MK

The stars and moon shine so bright.
They light up the night.
Sometimes, I wish I was up there.
Maybe I could find some peace.
Sometimes, I wish I could give you the moon because maybe then I'd be enough.
You are my best friend, my little sister.
Everyone thinks I hate you, but I think you hate me.
You shine like the stars.
You shine brighter than the moon.
And yet, I'm not jealous of you.
I love you with all my heart.
I do everything for you and yet a "I hate you" is all I get.
The stars and moon shine so bright.
They light up the night.
But they don't compare to the way you light up my world.

    This Poems Story

I am six years older than my sister. We are always at each other\'s throats, but no matter how angry she makes me, I will always love everything I have. Everyone thinks I hate her, but it\'s the opposite. I don\'t want her to be like me because I\'m not so great. She can shine brighter than anything i have ever seen and i love it, and i love her but i don\'t think she loves me.
