The Stars Are Hollow

Oh dear
all your hollow calls from deep within that forest
capture me

the baked time had left me in an unfamiliar haze
of you.
That penetrating hollow call
I receive
with warning.

but in hopes of finding a place in your vacant heart
I pretend complacency

You stray!
wandering from casualty to me
void from any aftermath
I could never have

vacated, me.
