The storm

By Savvy

Look what you've done, My hearts on the floor
my chest empty, hollow as never before
Everything I loved about you now seems like an illusion
how many other girls have fallen for your delusion

Like a thunderstorm, you'd yell at me then strike
my tears would drizzle down like spikes
pounding on my skin like shattered glass
I don't understand why we didn't last

The aftermath of your storm left me broken
I knew I should have spoken
Instead, I'm laying here destroyed
with my heart empty and void
the marks you left on me will not fade
a part of me will always be afraid
