The story of the moon and the sun

Surrounded by a billion stars,
The moon still yearns for the sun
Horizons apart,
They start and end their day together
the extrovert who adopted the moon,
shines his light
for she’s afraid of the dark
the moon,
cant wait for the sun
to gossip about the secrets of the night
her safe space
He’s the softest around her,
warm, vulnerable,
the anger of the day just melting away
a peaceful slumber
she knows the sun unlike anyone else,
under the unbearable heat of the noon
there lies a heart like a sunset,
soft and loving,
and the same mouth which spews out profanities
and doesn’t like crunchy food,
whispers to her every night
I love you,
And she loves him too.
