The streets

the streets walk
the streets talk
the streets tell our stories
the streets tell it with pain
they know the joy and the endless bodies
laying on the ground
they know what i speak of
the gun being drew like cartoons
the women crying cause they
don't know when their baby
next meal is going to come from
the streets they know what those
of us trying to make it out
have a hard time getting up to the next level
the streets know
cause if they could talk
they would tell it all
the drugs dealers hanging at every concern
the girls just trying to make a living of their own
one's without mother's and father's
no place to call truly call home
these streets ain't nice to no one
that's what my streets would tell
