The Sun

She was the sun, beaming from ear to ear,
Looking down at her newborn baby girl.
She was the moon, glowing and calm,
Watching over the baby sleeping in her arms.
She was the sun, jubilant and warm,
Radiating love and wisdom to her little girl.
She was the rock, forceful and dependable,
Keeping her daughter safe from harm as she grew older.
She was the sun, optimistic and bright,
Uplifting her daughter's spirits on her rough days.
She was a cloud, encouraging and loving,
Being the shoulder to cry on when her daughter needed it.
She was the oak tree in their front yard, confident and strong,
Advising her daughter to always do the right thing.
She was the star shining in the night sky, beautiful and courageous,
Making all of her daughters dreams come true.
She was a flickering candle, tender and everlasting,
Always providing with the motherly love her daughter needed.
She was the sun, supportive and sympathetic,
Fulfilling all of her daughters everyday needs.
She was the Sun, beaming from ear to ear,
Looking down at what her little baby had become.
