The Sweet Agony Of Love

The alley was once so filled up,
Always bidding me joy,
Never so dark, never so tough,
It was nothing more than just a decoy.
As I walked on, it broadened,
And it showed me a new way;
Unaware of the hideous things that it held,
I transcended and plunged myself into disarray.
And the struggle continued,
To pull myself out of the horrid pathway,
The beautiful chirps turned into cries of feud,
And the alley led me to astray.
Blinded and encircled by doubts,
I grew weary but the push came to shove;
My shoes tore apart and I was played out,
And thus my feet tasted the sweet agony of love.
