The Tale of the Glass Bottom Boat

We started to build a boat.
Mommy and Daddy and me were there.
Just cardboard, duct tape and paint,
the rules were pretty clear.
Daddy got all the stuff,
most of what was required.
We all painted and taped the cardboard.
We worked until we were tired.
The boat turned out pretty good.
We were pleased as punch.
My Mommy, my Daddy and me,
We were a proud and happy bunch.
We took that boat to the campground,
and launched it on the pond.
Mommy got it all on pictures.
While me and Daddy rowed and won.
Daddy paddled while I steered
And kept that boat afloat.
We sailed away and made it back,
Us and our cardboard boat.
