People are hankering for the tears of the sky,
But unfortunately the sky wouldn't start to cry.
They're confused if the sky will ever shed tears,
Which is the greatest of all their earthly fears.

The lands lay dry and thirsty by the rage of the sun,
The people now realize that this situation is no fun.
Patting the shoulders of the tired and afraid farmers,
The sun finally began to speak and no longer murmur.

What kind of situation has befallen upon mankind,
Or is it something to manipulate men's mind.
By a superior being who resides in the infinite space,
Someone whom we are not worthy enough to face.

Still the tired eyes of men watches the sky,
Waiting with prayers and offering for the sky to cry.

-for Chennai water crisis.
