The Third Rapture

It's the city of Bones,
City of Ashes,
Where life vs. death condone,
Where men stand brash-
Angels watch from the sky.
Reaper's wrath: no broken fist,
Carrying his scythe proudly high,
Pockets weighed down by Death's list.
Assemble souls, graves awry.
Man blames unseen God-hear their battle cry.
Bloodshed leaves open gashes-
Humankind desolated in the blink of an eye.
Reaper's services have been dismissed.
God still fights, gathering echoes of an endless war man bemoans.
