The thought of love

By

Sips and kisses mixed with blood
A tie to someone's soul

Where do we belong
In the arms of another
Even when their fire burns our skin
Sins become us
And broken bones numb the feelings
Lost in the eyes of demons

Knowing they bring us to our ending
Crashing pills, the highs never enough
Fangs in throats, never deep enough
Arrested by the thought, stuck in the cuffs
"I'll love you forever" but that's not enough

Time is of the essence, take a sip from my cup
Eyes blurry always in a hurry
Hopefully she won't notice these cuts
You a hidden secret in the dark we keep it
Make love by the river when it's needed
But trust me I'm not cocky
Treat you like an option, but I'm not sloppy
Fall in love again, they won't top me
