The Thrill

Clear night, full moon

City shadows crowd my room

Bourbon in my veins, champagne on her breath

Each note from her throat cools my liquored skin

Her soft moon lit touch against my rough jaw

Unknowing-Innocent emerald jewels draw me in

I’ve already fallen-body betrayed, heart racing

Not the first but she’ll be my last

That damn sweet smile never judges

Swift blink and tongues dance

Scorched my lips----blood drew hotter than hell's fire

Each date she’s taken a piece of me

Till I was nothing but everything

Remade hers, no denying, no lying

This is it... the thrill...of falling in love
