The Thrills of Gymnastics

I feel the adrenaline rushing through my blood.
I close my eyes as my lungs fill and then deflate.
I turn my body to face the judge and salute.
I jump to the bar, my toes pointed perfectly.
I swing around and around without any care.
I almost don't notice that the crowd is still there.
I then complete my dismount without any flaws.
I stick my landing and I then freeze with fear.
I look to the judge and salute with confidence.
I wait for a moment and smile when I hear clapping.
I glance at my score and it is a perfect ten.
I say out loud, these are the thrills of gymnastics.
