The Time I Have Left

My childhood wonderment has passed away.
I have less curiosity than I
did before, joy has left my face, my eye
has dimmed. I really don't want it that way.
The stress about my future came to stay.
It used to be so far but time does fly.
I take time for granted, I can't deny
that soon I will forget such thoughts. Today,
I learned to be my best, enjoy my youth.
To savor every moment, love like it
is all I have. My friendships, laugh and cry,
tell stories, secrets, jokes, advice, and truth.
Be patient, learn and let all my spirit
fly. Never leave my wonderment to die.
