The Time I Rested My Head

I lay my head down and a spark.
A voice's whisper seeps into my mind
hitting a chord with the utmost velocity,
yet as gentle as blowing a dandelion.
My heart explodes in fireworks
and aches and aches.
In panic, I lift my head up.
Empty silence.
