The Tortoise

God created many a creature,
all with their own unique features.
The tortoise crawls slow,
he's in no hurry to get where he wants to go.
He knows he'll make it in due time,
so along the way, he might as well take in the sights.
The tortoise wasn't blessed with speed
like the cheetah, and he doesn't have
the gazelle's grace,
but he is blessed in another way.
He has the patience to take it slow and easy
and be content with wherever it is he may be.
