The Tortured Singer

Ignoring the pain,

Not caring as long as there is something to gain.

Doing what they want and say,

Not realizing what will come at bay.

Taking the pills hoping everything will just go away.

Or maybe just have a better day.

But all the money and fame,

Can't make up for all that shame.

This Poems Story

I was born in Selmer, TN, in 1998, to the parents of Joseph and Paula Christian. I have only been writing for a year and a half. My mom wrote poetry and is published. She is my inspiration. My papa and nan, James and Ettie Hume, were always supportive of Momma, and now support me in my writing. Grace, my younger sister, is my best friend. All my family has encouraged me to write. I thank them for that, but all the credit goes to God. Without him none of us would be here. Love you all.
