The strength of every tree
is not in how high that it climbs
how many leaves it has
or if it's limbs are intertwined...
It isn't in it's width
nor is it in the shade it gives
or any of the details
that describes how long it lives...
For it's the wind and rain
that tests the strength of every Tree
it softens up the soil
to see if it's been planted deep...
It's blown from side to side
and undermined from underneath
despite the thunderstorms
the Tree must try to keep it's feet...
That's so like unto you
whose faced the constant winds of change
that are sure to come upon us
over and over and over again...
Thereby are you assured
through each and every sacrifice
that you can hold your own
because your roots are deep in Christ.
