The True Me

The me I want to be
Would look good in beach curls
Because she has the soft approach of an oncoming wave
Yet the sizzle of the salt water
Meeting the sand.
She's not afraid to go deep,
But she'll sit in the sun with a smile
And tell you that God is good.
She'll see everyone as family
And never doubt
For one second
That she is worth listening to,
Looking at,
Spending a day with,
A lifetime with,
On the beach of our souls.
