The Truth

Mature girl
Alone, empty and

Hiding so much;
Her smiles concealing
What lies beyond

Afraid of losing
Those she loves;
Grieving what is
already lost

Hesitant for friendship
Not wanting to get hurt
So she hides her
Precious soul
Far, far away

And yet her heart
Reaches out for help
Begging her soul to
come pouring out

But the mature girl just
weeps and prays that
one day she will find
A true friend to
