The Truth Behind My Laugh

My laugh
Be it as gleeful as it may sound is born from fear
My laugh
Echos the nervousness from deep in my soul
My laugh
Which comes alive in the wake of sorrow in the destruction
My laugh
Accompanied by a smile creates a duo far greater then Bonnie and Clyde
My laugh
Disguises my intentions creating a cynical presence
My laugh
Devoid of empathy, of sorrow created from a void and feeds on sad stories
Like a disease that only flares up to bask in the pain of others
Knowing all this can I still consider this a laugh
An expression of amusement?
Or is this a cry hidden in a laugh
Isolated from the world
Unbeknown to me
