The Ugly Duckling

The story of the duckling
The ugly one, I mean
Has many different ways
Ways of being seen
I want to see the beauty
Of the poor and helpless bird
But everyone says it's ugly
At least that's what I've heard
But where do they see ugly?
On the inside or the out?
'Cause inside's what's important
Looks aren't what it's about
This isn't just for ducks
It goes for people, too
Who cares why people "dress that way"
Who cares what brand's their shoe
So before you look at someone
And decide if they're ugly or not
Look deeper at the inside
It will change your view a lot
