The Unforseen Swerve

With the rising sun, you chose to depart,
but darling was it the right start?
Little did we know, fervour was insane,
why do all the merry junctures go in vain?
The broken promise might seal the wound,
but why is the contrition so profound?
Now as you grow apart by an inch,
why dont you as much as flinch?
This is the path we chose to travel,
but now why do you want it to unravel?
The sorrow will fade, will be clouded by shade,
but will the felicity revive, that we let evade?
