The Unknown

Once I was afraid of the unknown
Until I ran
And there was no place to go
I hid from the darkness, but I made it my own
I needed a face
I needed a home
I wanted to start over, be someone new
Live my life different
Cause I’m nothing with you
I thought of the ways I needed change
I drew up conclusions
But my problems remained
I was afraid of what’s coming, what’s in front of me
Not who I was
But who I needed to be
But I had it all wrong, I had nothing to fear
Everything would turn out alright
At least that’s what I hear
