The Unknown North

By Icy

Trees, they sway graceful in the wind
Like a child on a derelict swing
Up and down, back and forth
What lies within the Unknown North

Earth and water, they mix and congeal
One can't succeed without some zeal
You need some charisma and key connections
Who knows what lies in the lonely direction

Flecks of white and black and colour
Meetings of the unique, nothing like each other
Unexpected occurrences, I think it to be
The direction of North is a mystery

It's full of twists and knots entwined
Moments and memories that will be so sublime
Life is a game of back and forth
But you can't predict the Unknown North

This Poems Story

The Unknown North was something that came to me in an early morning rush of spontaneity and I just had to jot it down in a note; I was having incredible trouble sleeping and my anxiety was at a high so I decided to write this to calm down a little. Thinking of the future fills me with dread sometimes so I try not to think of it; I see this as a manifestation of both my conflicting fear and excitement of what's to come.
