The Wall Of A Girl’s Bathroom Stall
“Hanna is a dirty cheater”
“Emily likes to have sex with other girls’ boyfriends”
“Jenna needs to go die”
“Love yourself”
We observe these words written on these four walls
These constant reminders that she’ll always be hated,
That even when she’s most vulnerable, a different her, one that they created,
Will follow her, look her in her eyes and tell her it’s her true self,
And she’ll almost believe it.
And although we enjoy the chaos, enjoy the drama,
We fear our own day of judgement, the day we’ll see our names on those walls,
Scribbled in permanent marker,
A permanent wound that never stops bleeding for,
As long as those words are written for anyone to enjoy.
