The War

I didn't want to start a war
I didn't want to part a half of you from you
Decisions are decisions
When you're tired of living
Feeling that something's missing
And even when you're kissing
Everything's different
I loved you for you
when you were going through
now it's a new season
And I need a reason
when all that time of spoken words was not showing any proof

Blame me for making a decision
That made you feel like all of it was
simple love with bad intentions
Blame me for trying to fight
but in the end we were 10 rounds in
The knockout almost came but we some how stumbled to the finish
Blame me for tearing up a home
and forcing my daughter to grow up in a single parent home
Blame me for standing alone
Blame me
for having a backbone...
