The Wayward Conductor

By Laura

Come with me,
You can not escape me,
I am the seemingly innocent friend,
That overtakes your free will,
I am the reason for the fall of friendships,
Your unity with all else is gone,
Gone from your own hands,
I switch you off the tracks,
I guide you away,
Halting your synchronicity with everyone,
You believe that I am innocent,
But you constantly use me,
Avoiding social interactions,
You want me to control your life inwardly,
All of my functions dictate your life,

Your train has now successfully switched tracks.
