The Web

You're caught in a web
A web of cunning and grace
Cunning so vile the poison
Seeps into your skin
Grace so disturbing
It hurts to watch
Your life held together
By its beauty
The elegance in its danger
Appeals to you
You are enticed by its malice
And seek solace in its bosom
Passion is ignited in
Your soulless home
Seeking shelter that can't be found
You are blinded by deceit
You are lead to believe
You are safe
But you never stop to notice
This web of lies
Was created by you
Leading yourself under false pretenses
Fighting to be
Who you are not
Loving no one but yourself
