The Wondering

I wondered as a lonely child
No one wanting me cuz I was too wild
Angry crying and yet confused
I am too deeply bruised.
I wondered as a lonely child
never trusting never smiled
I am not to mild
I'm just me
so let me be
out where I am wild and Free.
I wondered as a lonely girl
who loves to spin and twirl and whirl
But occasionally breaks the law
who loves to read and write and draw.
I wondered as a lonely girl
pretty as a pearl
I sometimes wish I weren't so sometimes I feel real low
even though I have all the friends the world would ever want.
