The World

There is a world I dream of, from time to time
where all is healthy, and everything is fine
There is no hate, no war, no death
I have all I can do, not to lose my breath

I saw a child, just the other day
He looked so happy, should I say Gay
Will he be happy, will he be loved
I pray for him, to the heavens above

The world is cruel, and it hurts me so
I looked at this child, does he even know
The looks he will get and the rights he will lose
Are we being tested, Does God have the news

That child is me, and I cannot pretend
I knew this was true, before I was ten
My life has been hard, I cannot deny
Times have been rough, sometimes I cry

There is a world I dream of, from time to time
Where children can grow, and people won't mind
Who their child loves, will this make them see
I hope and I pray, for that Gay child is me.
