THE YEARNING

If I would give a girl a gift
An act of brotherly love
Be sorry for the intrusion
For sounds of wanting that never cease
At times of giving in, and letting go
It is self-fulfillment, plunging in mind
It takes control of my whole being
With someone else, uncertain
Is it she I am now with
A single thought gives delight
Her dreams must contain me, too
But the motive, I shudder at the reality
The narrow corner of the makeshift room
And all problems are already gone
so grateful for that small place of miracle
A great idea comes into mind, quite a concept
Variables in life make all the difference, indeed
Choose only the essential few, simplify
The lesser one has the more free we become
The material tends to mislead at times
