Then and Now

The Ride

My family is a well-functioning bike.
To make it go, every family member
contributes in their own special way.

My dad is the pedals, helping us push
through all the hard hills in life,
even if we don’t want to go up against them.
It is his support that drives us up these hills.

My mom is the handles, steering us in the right direction and guiding
us to a better future.
Without her, we wouldn’t know where to go.

My brother is the seat post,
always supporting us no matter how we do.
In the good times
and the bad, he will always be there.
