Then What’ll I Do?


I am a peach ripe on a tree,
no more or less plump and pink than any of my siblings.
I grow a soft, clean skin, tender, juicy meat,
and I appear no more or less tasty than any other peach on this tree.
But my pit is filled with mosquitoes
and they'll burrow out sooner or later.
