There Is A Bridge…

There is a bridge we must cross or stay behind.
If we chose to go, there will be others of every kind.
Some don't cross because of fear,
While others don't because they are comfortable here.
Oh, the things that they miss,
The new and unknown can hold such bliss.
What if Columbus decided not to cross?
Or at Gettysburg, Lincoln said,"All is loss!"
If Gandhi chose the British clothes to wear,
And Jesus said,"This cup I cannot bear."
Each of these gives such hope.
So step across, whether the bridge is wood, concrete or rope.
I can't wait to meet you on the other side,
Where we will forever abide.
