Thin Blue Line

For the road to freedom is a hard one,
But I said I would not turn away and run.

I will stand up for what is right and just,
And for those who need help I must.

Every day holds a new battle to fight,
And I will fight it with all of my might.

I will stand with my brothers and sisters in blue,
And together we will see it through.

I will proudly serve my community with honor and dignity,
Until I'm faced with my heavenly eternity.

There is no greater calling for me than to serve my community,
And to help triumph over inequality.

The road to glory is much easier to gain,
For I am with the Lord now and I feel no pain.

I know we will see each other once more,
And your sorrow and pain will be gone forevermore.

I walked the thin blue line,
And in the end victory will be mine.
