Things I Learned In School

Things I learned I school:
How to stress over perfection until I'm sick
Physically sick, emotionally drained, sick of myself,
Of lists, and planners, and study groups,
Of flash cards, and late nights with my textbooks.
Sick of watching the world pass me by
As I juggle tests and clubs, and volunteering.
All while watching people without a care in the world
Not worrying if they will be good enough
Successful enough
To be enough
For themselves
And for themselves alone.
