As a heron ascending from a lake,
A thirst pops up, difficult to slake;
Slopping the mind’s water’s edge
-Unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
Heron has no rein in the sky,
Beyond the vista it may fly.
Flying is its supreme pleasure,
It’s a treasure, beyond measure.
Heron upwings so high,
Since it has the thirst to fly.
With a merry heart, it sings,
Since it has a pair of wings.
