This Christmas

This Christmas
I have a wish.
May this season, this day and all the days going forward,
Be peaceful.
May they be filled with the laughter of children,
A dream of hope for all mankind.
A wish of plenty for all in need.
For the lowering of weapons and raising of voices
May you cast praise instead of stones
Empty your hands and fill your hearts
Let no man harm another with words or force
Let no malice nor hatred cross your lips
Find respect for those in service
Show restraint and forgiveness for those that offend you
I believe it is within all of us,
"For it stands that neither good nor evil can prevail forever,
and evil has had its day. Let good reign through this season"
